Comments for Duran Duran, Big Thing

If you can get by the title track, this is one of their best works. From pure pop (I dont want your love) to piano laced(Too late Marlene, My antartica), to duranesque (All she wants, Do you believe in shame), the album is very interesting. You can ignore that they put "Big Thing" and "Drug" with the collection. For some reason the critics trashed the album while later recommending the album LIBERTY, which is the worst DD album to come along

Come now, Mr. Caldwell! Big Thing is the best Duran song EVER! We seem to have different tastes.

I would also add that Caldwell incorrectly added My Antarctica to this album, which was from Liberty. I thought this is an excellent album. Land and Palomino are classics!

I do think the drummachine work on this one isnt that strong, it could have been done better

This album does not carry any big hits exept ''I dont want your love''. My personelly favourite is All she wants is. It really rocks. But the rest of the songs are not so BIG(thing).the drums sounds very computerised

Hi, Cadwell. Um, you did not seem to mention that if they had not written "Palomino", Big Thing would be so much better. Lucky the song Land, which touches my heart(and I'm a guy, too) and The Edge of America compensate for this.
Oh, and another thing. THe material on this album is no underration. It deserved every bit it got.
