Comments for Emerson, Lake, And Palmer, Works Volume 1E-MAIL: tadler@connecti.com An underrated album whose best moments can stand with any other ELP works. There are some weak moments, however: IMHO Greg Lake's songs. I enjoy Keith Emerson's concerto, but I enjoy classical music. Surely, Pirates and Fanfare are classics and a truly unique version of Tank!E-MAIL: Torres_ron@apsicc.aps.edu E-MAIL: Torres_ron@apsicc.aps.edu I feel that Works I is a superstar in ELP''s lineup. All three guys showed their true talents as individuals on the album. Any ELP fan couldn''t ask for better, From Emerson''s "Piano Concerto" to Lake''s angelic voice in "Closer to Believing" to Palmer''s pounding percussion in "Tank"-- there is a unique quality per player, per album side. And then to come together on "Pirates" and "Fanfare for the Common Man," they surely show they can work in many different scenarios. Hooray fro ELP and Works I... I sure appreciate it to this very day!!! Ron Torres Albuquerque, NM (USA) Torres_Ron@apsicc.aps.eduComments supplied by users do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Roadkill Consulting, Inc. |
