Well, Chuck Berry it isn't. Side 1 contains a sequence of tape loops of synthesiser sounds. Side two is a slowed-down version of Pachelbel's Canon in D Major.

Hello! THis is a wonderful album. The way i look at it, Brian Eno's work on his ambient series are what some people may call, "Ultimate Sleep Albums" THis is one is no exception. This is also the kind of album you pop in on sunday mornings and meditate to. The music is just wonderful and all four selectins on this release are just fantastic! I hihghly recommend this album to any Eno or ambient music fan.

I don't enjoy all of Eno's ambient stuff. However, the title piece on here is fantastic - a very important and enjoyable highlight in 20th Century composition. Really a 30 minute slice of heaven. Absolutely must-hear. The ultimate aim of psychedelia is a religious-styled reflection on the moment, and that is what this piece enables in the listener. Side Two is a bit dispensible, but it doesn't even matter.

Side 2 is just plain danged annoying--well, not that, it's not like after 20 years it's made any impression on me at all. WHO CARES! "Discreet Music" itself is absolute, crystalline perfection. Of course, discovering from the liner notes that ambient music was created by Eno getting in a car crash and taking a blow to the head ain't exactly the type of thing you'd tell people who hate ambience...

Someone must of hit the return button before they were done reviewing this. I guess I can''t ever fix one of the reviews I did either.
