Comments for Eric Gales Band, The Eric Gales Band

E-MAIL: fwalton@world.nad.northrop.com
(One More Try) Eric Gales Band is not just another blues group. They're a hard groovin', hard rocking blues band. Eric's near virtousity for blues guitar is striking enough, but the fact that he was on 16 YEARS old when this record was made blows the mind.

A top quality album. Awesome display of musicianship particularly from the (young) man Eric. Mostly groove- oriented tunes with funky rhythms and well-fitting lyrics. Sign of the Storm is simply ferocious, I believe the best song on the album, athough it's hard to pick a winner from these quality contestants. This album lacks very little and maintains it's appeal after time. To think that Eric's only 16 (at time of release) is truly encouraging to think of what is to come when he (and his band brother Eugene and drummer Hubert Crawford Jr) can come up with in the future is staggering. Good Stuff.

Yeah, and beware he plays like that Albert King/Otis Rush style, i. e. with his guitar strung UPSIDE DOWN!
