Comments for Eurythmics, Touch

E-MAIL: citoyen@wizards.com
"Touch" is a tight collection of nine sharp tracks, each full of cool synth riffs and scorching soul vocals -- a natural transition from the "Sweet Dreams" sound. It's a very precise recording, not a beat out of place, but the lyrics are as quirky as they come for awhile. "Touch" features the three huge hits "Here Comes The Rain Again," "Who's That Girl?", and their "first genuinely happy" song "Right By Your Side." (For audiotrivia buffs: the single for "Here Comes The Rain Again" includes a recording of the structurally perfect "Paint A Rumour" about 30 seconds longer than the one on "Touch," and those extra 30 seconds really end the piece on a darker, more final note.) =mw=

Right by Your Side was their BEST song !!!!

I hated `Right By Your Side'' when it came out, but I do like it now, although all other tracks are much better. A friend of mine believed that the entire album is all about drugs. I don''t know, but ''Aqua'' surely deals with this subject. With songs like ''Here Comes The Rain Again'', ''Who''s That Girl'' and ''No Fear, No Hate'' it was an equally outstanding follow-up to that great ''Sweet Dreams'' album.
