this was a brilliant recording, very visual and beautifully crafted. joe puerta's lead vocal work on "drink of water" is stunning. i've been searching for this on cd for many years, if anyone knows where or if it can be purchased, please send mail. i should mention, that i have worn out 3 vinyl copies of this recording since 1974.

I love this album and the band "AMBROSIA". The track "Holdin on to yesterday" is a great tune. If you can find this album or CD I recommend it wholeheartedly. If anyone knows where I can find it on CD, please E-mail me with the Information. John C. Johnson

I spoke to my freind Joe Puerta last year at a free concert in San Pedro, Ca. All the origional members plus 2 sidemen played quite a bit of new and old material. Joe told me that they were working in the studio on a greatest hits, plus new tracks Cd but were having trouble with the record company. He said that the record company had problems "classifying" them. Sadly, The album "Ambrosia" has never been out on cd as is true with most of their early stuff. He said that spring 96 was when I was it my come out but he didn't sound to sure. Those early albums may never be re-released.

UPDATE: 6/9/96 I talked with Joe Puerta again and he assured me that all the early 20th Century material will be included in an Ambrosia Anthology CD to be released on Warner Brothers with in a couple of months. It will include a couple new songs plus all the hits ect.

One of the bands I played keyboards with in the early ''80s performed almost every song on this album. The only copy I have left is a chewed up reel to reel tape. I am trying to program the album for general midi but it''s hard to remember the complete songs. I have Lover Arrive and Holding On To Yesterday done but will have to wait and hope for a cd to finish. If anybody is interested in these files e-mail me.
David Pack writes & plays with Alan Parsons. Jeo Puerta plays with Bruce Hornsby.
Brilliant debut album every song is great. Christopher North pulls lightning from the sky during his mind blowing hammond solos in Drink of Water.
Absolutely stunning debut album. Christopher North's keyboard work is amazing! Nobody can play a B3 like Mr. North. This is a must have CD!

This incredible album is as good as any done by Yes, Genesis, ELP, or King Crimson. Mama Frog and Drink Of Water are Prog Rock songs for the ages.
