I love this Mosaic set! They have done an outstanding job on this fantastic collection. There are 141 tracks on 10 CD's. 12 of the tracks have never been released before. I have number 133 of 5000. I highly recommed it to any Maynard fan!

I have copy 1827 and I love it! $150 is a lot, but for Maynard who cares? You will not regret it.

If you are a Maynard fan, you MUST get this 10 CD set. Supurb sound quality. Best musical purchase I've ever made. You won't regret it.

8/21/01: WOW- the pictures in the insert book are almost as good as the music !! Thanks Mosaic ! I bought my CDs in 1997 - I have #2379 of 5000. I suggest calling Mosaic and seeing if any are left - I have seen this set go for over $250 on eBay. Now, if we could just get the Columbia stuff on CD......

hands-down, Maynard's best playing and arrangements - EVER - are all in this collection. His soloing on Fox, Slide's Derrangement, Ol'Man River, And we listened, Foxy is brilliant. The arrangements are particularly good, especially the ones by Slide Hampton. Those younger guys who think Maynard was in his prime in 1974 have not listened to his playing on these albums. 47 years later, this album still sounds hip, and swings.
