Comments for Ferguson, Maynard, Maynard Ferguson Orchestra 1967

E-MAIL: Diz@scotland
Nobody rated so I gave it 9.0 for the sole reason that it`s Ferguson. Disagree with me if you want but remember, He rules the super Eflat!

Ditto on the Eb above double C!!! And it's not just an airy note, and he hits it straight on, w/o working up to it! (it's at the end of FRAME FOR THE BLUES). BTW- There is an MF SEXTET album out from 1967 by the same company. SEXTET has a sound similar to Miles Davis' KIND OF BLUE, w/ MF high notes. Good Stuff.

This is a great CD! "A-Train" is awesome; so is "Frame for the Blues." Ditto the comments above on the high stuff. If you can''t find this CD in the store, ask them to order it. My copy broke and I had a hard time finding again, but I did, eventually.
Recorded at the 1967 World Expo
