Actually, I'd say its one of his best in the 70's Really funky stuff

There are a lot of great ensemble trumpet lines with Maynard doubling lead or taking it up.

OK, so it's not like one and two. This is Maynard keeping with the times and exploring electronics. I like it!!!

"Awright, Awright" and "S.O.M.F." - what great tunes. A nice way to open and close the album. By the way, can anyone tell me what kind of horn and mouthpiece MF is using in the photo on the back of the album? Thanks...

This album is o.k. It is not one of his best. I do however LOVE the BIG UGLY CLOSEUP of his face on the back cover!!

I think that "Awright,Awright","Nice & Juicy" and "Mother Fingers" are only my three favorites I listen on the album just I first listen to his song called "S.O.M.F." He thinks that he creates such funk, rock, and pop music to make cool Bill Chase style. I remember when I was in Osborne High,we played Bill Chase''s "Get It On" in the jazz band. "Get It On" was the #1 hit that has cool funk rock in it. It really a drivng rock style. His trumpet solos sounds good and his funky Superbone riff on "Mother Fingers" sounds fimilar when he add some effect sound in it. I think his album is the best!
This album is laced with weird electronic experimenting and "veen" solos. Lots o` Superbone solos too. Good for nothing less than a period piece.
