Comments for America, In Concert

America concerts are always energizing and inspiring, and this album is a true reflection of a typical America concert....

An accurate depiction sonically, but not terribly interesting without seeing them. As far as a live album, "America Live" is a much better choice, a bit more ragged maybe, but far more spontaneous, exhuberant and hi-fi.

The weakest of their live albums. Just kinda bland, with nothing to really catch my interest. Pales in comparison to the '77 "Live" album.

Nothing really new here. Better than "Live" but not as good as "Horse With No Name" or the King Biscuit CD. I think the only reason Capitol released this album was to have recordings of America's early WB hits for use on compilations such as "Ventura Highway and Other Favorites."

I THINK THIS IS AMERICA'S BEST LIVE ALBUM HANDS DOWN. MY COPY IS A GOLD CD FROM ENGLAND AND LISTENING TO IT ON HEADPHONES RECENTLY IT AMAZED ME. IT REALLY REFLECTED THE GREAT LIVE CONCERT I SAW THEM DO IN MALONE NY 2 YEARS AGO. THE HARMONIES ARE WONDERFUL AND THE MUSICIANS ARE GREAT. A WONDRFUL CD I WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANY AMERICA FAN... I GIVE IT A 10/10. I LIKE SOME OF THESE LIVE VERSIONS MORE THAN THE ORIGINAL STUDIO RELEASES !!

Forget any negative review this is America's finest live album and they have all been pretty special. This album has the lot splendid musicianship rabid crowd and an atmosphere so intoxicating it completely takes the listeners breath away.Has The Border played with a gusto rarely seen on any live album and the quite stunning Survival amongst other classics, perhaps these are not their bigger days, but the fact that this group have been neglected should be reguarded as an act of criminal proportions.

This disc is a good representation of one of America''s mid-80''s concerts. Recorded at the Arlington Theatre in Santa Barbara,CA while promoting thier latest album "Perspective". I was at the concert it was one of the best I had seen them do. I would have like to have seen more "obscure" tunes that were performed make it onto the record, for instance "Old Man Took", "Sandman", "Never Be Lonely", or the current single "Can''t Fall Asleep To A Lullabye". I still prefer the 1977 Live album.
