E-MAIL: ehrmc@uwec.edu
Maynard plays some ridiculous licks on All God's Chillun Got Rhythm, up to a solid triple-G.

"Maiden Voyage," "The Way You Look Tonight," "Hymn To Her," "Egad, Martha," "Wildman," "Dancing Nightly," and "Never You Mind" are also on the "MAYNARD FERGUSON VERVE JAZZ MASTERS 52 C.D. Conte Condoli also plays trumpet on this album - he was in the old Tonight Show band.

All the tunes on this double LP except "Hymn To Her", "Finger Snappin''", "Super G", and "Breakfast Dance" are available on the Japanese import CD "Compact Jazz". "Hymn To Her" is available on CD on "Verve Jazz Masters 52". This (Stratospheric) is a rerelease partial compilation of material originally found on the Mercury releases: "Dimensions", "Boy With Lots Of Brass", "Around The Horn With MF", and "Maynard Ferguson Octet". If you find this one pick it up! It''s a great early listen of Maynard just entering his prime!! Chuck Naffier
Double album consisting of previously released tunes from 1954, `55 and `56.Small combos include players such as Shelly Manne, Ray Brown and ConteCandoli. "Maiden Voyage has nothing to do with Herbioe Hancock.
