Comments for Ferguson, Maynard, Maynard '63

I remember when I first bought this album I was disappointed because I didn''t recognize any of the tunes. Over time, however, Maynard 63 has become my favorite of all his recordings (I''ve been collecting Maynard albums since 1955). If you like blues and funk, this album will provide much enjoyment. The band was really tight and innovative. Every solo shows exceptional taste, and Maynard did not allow his upper register to dominate his playing.

I`ve been collecting Maynard records for 15 years and Ijust found this one this year - it`s pretty rare.
