Comments for Ferguson, Maynard, Screamin' Blues

Unusual album for MF in that it is all top notch New York studio guys instead of his own band. You really don''t see much studio people on an MF album until Columbia''s albums of the mid ''70''s. The interesting flaw is that Bill Watrous'' name was spelled wrongly as "William Watous" on the original version of this album (The Blues Roar), and on this album, and on the CD that came out of this album in the early ''90''s.

This was previously released as "The Blues Roar"The cover show Maynard playing a lefthanded trumpet.The photographer must of had the negative upside down.
