Comments for Ferguson, Maynard, Maynard & Gustav

This album was a rare find which I bought in 1977. The quality of the pressing was poor as was the miking of MF. Some of these very cuts have been reproduced on other titles with some improvement in sound quality, but this is nice to have as it represents MF after he left the states in the mid 60's and toured mostly in Europe until he founded his mostly English-New Zealand-Ausralian groups of the late '60's/early '70's.

In talking with Maynard he said that no permission was ever given to record or release this album. This is why the poor quality of the recording.

It`s interesting to hear the Czechoslovakian Orchestras interpretation of Maynards music.
