I have this album, it is avery good jazz album for trumpet players to listen to. It doesn't feature Maynard but his presence is felt and the chemistry between these great trumpet players works.

The CD version of this recording only lists the first 8 cuts on its cover. Tracks 9-11 are not listed but are there if you let your CD player continue. Maynard does not play on tracks 9 and 10 but he does play on track 11. I also agree with the persons comments from above. "Summertime" is great! All of these songs as well as all of the other jam sessions with Clifford Brown can be found on "The Complete Emarcy Recordings Of Clifford Brown". It is a great 10 CD set and Maynard plays quite a bit on discs 5 and 6.
+ = CD Bonus TracksThis is the companion album to Jam Session 1954 which featuresMF, Clark Terry, Clifford Brown, and Dinah Washington. Itmay be a little hard to find on CD, but MF`s version ofSummertime is truly outstanding!
