Comments for Ferguson, Maynard, This Is Jazz 16

Great album-why isn't Chameleon on there? Why hasn't Gospel John been on other Greatest Hits albums. And I know someone will nail me for saying this but HOW CAN YOU HAVE A BEST OF MAYNARD FERGUSON ALBUM WITHOUT PRIMAL SCREAM?!?!?!?!?!?!?

I know this is supposed to be a "intro" CD for those not familiar with Mr. Ferguson - but "Cheshire Cat Walk" ??? Come on Columbia - get real !!! Where is "Hey Jude" ?? At least this version of "Mac Arthur Park" is the best one - off of the "MF Horn 4 & 5 - Live at Jimmy's" LP.

This in my opinion is one of the MF CDs. The arrangement of birdland is not his best however.

The only reason to buy this CD is for "Everybody Has The Blues." You can''t find this cut on CD anywhere. It''s from the "It''s My Time" album. The rest of "This is Jazz 16" can be found on other compilations and/or full album CD releases.
