a very good sample indeed.I thought this Stella by STARLIGHT version was better than the newer one.Certainly it contained more Maynard soloing,and a bit more exciting despite its oldness.With Maria and OLE how could you go wrong.That ending on OLE knocked me out.Only a great trumpet player could do that.

A CD released only in Canada in honor of Maynard Ferguson being a recipient of the 1997 Canadian Juno Hall Of Fame Award.This is a very classy CD with great pictures and liner notes. Maynard is on the cover playing a Superbone. All of the tracks are available on the Mosaic boxed set, but it is nice to have a "sampler" from that set, especially one done as well as this one is.
