this is the first Fishbone album i bought. i had only heard one song by them, and decided to take a chance. i am very happy with that decision, since Fishbone is probably the best at whatever it is that they do. they're rad. that's all.

I'm not into ska that much, but the middle part of the cd sounds kinda good to me. But personally, I have to say Fishbone grooved their asses off on this disc.

Not a masterpiece like Truth and Soul, but nevertheless a brilliant album. Five years after buying the album I discovered that Those Days Are Gone is an awesome song. Housework, Naz-Tee May'en and So Many Millions were classics from the start.

This album, although a marginal commercial success, failed to receive the critical accolades it deserves. The social consciousness of the album were more than mere attempts they were, mostly, straight-foward indictments of a society that is rascist, materialistic, and indifferent to indigent and "lower class" citzens. At the same time the album also celebrate some of the things that make life in society more tolerable especially for Black folks like myself. Put succinctly the greatset "Rock album" of all time.

Ska/Funk/Hard rock mix into their many songs on this album. Also, the songs range from simple "good to mosh to" music, toattempts at social commentary. In general, a great album.

Well, running into my hypothetical burning house, I'd pause in front of my CD case and scratch my chin, my eyes darting backwards and fortwards between TROMS and Mr Bungle Disco Volante. There I'd stand, realising that to chose would be to rob myself of the other, soon afterward a flaming beam would plummet onto my befuddled person and I'd die knowing that that I was about to make the right choice.
