Comments for Fishbone, Give A Monkey A Brain...

Personally, I think that this album is one of the best that I've heard in a long time. I like the fact that the album encompasses many different styles of music from heavy metal to r&b. I think  that this band shows you don't have to be white to rock. MOST FAVORITE: Black Flowers.

Definately NOT for fans of old Fishbone...this album is more metal than Fishbone fans might be used to. Unyeilding Conditioning is the closest we get to the old Fishbone sound.

Definately an album to take when you get left on a deserted island. With styles that encompas everything that burns, soothes, lays back and kicks! Best tracks: Black flowers, Unyielding Conditioning

While I usually like the sprawling and varied style of Fishbone, this album ends up half-baked. Some of the tracks, like Lemon Meringue and No Fear, are simply awesome. But then we get served tripe like Swim and The Warmth of Your Breath. All in all, I like about half of this album, and it is the only Fishbone album that has certain tracks I just have to skip.

A wonderfully adventurous album that smoothly picks up where "Reality of My Surroundings'' left off. More on the metal end, more on the silliness tip, yet will captivate even the most jaded listener. A must for fans of the eclectic. This is Fishbone at their Funkiest, Rockiness'', Silliest, BEST!

A lot more structured that previous Fishbone albums.It looks and sounds more like a "regular album." It`sone of the best produced and busiest albums I`ve heard in a long time. Definatly a must have for any musicician.
