Always a treat to hear ANYTHING America has done, as always, thanks Gerry and Dewey.

Recorded in 1979 while they were promoting Silent Letter. Released in Laser Disc format. Hopefully it will be released on CD someday.
This "album" is actually a concert video released only onlaser disc in 1981. The concert itself was recorded in 1979during their "Silent Letter" tour, and contains the onlylive renditions of songs from that album released to date. They are worth checking out, especially "Only Game In Town"and "All Night," the latter because it contains an exampleof Michael Woods`s blistering guitar work at its best. While the Dan Peek songs are missing, Woods does giveAmerica`s live sound the extra kick it lacked in their livealbum from 1977, recorded just months after Dan Peek leftthe group for a Christian music recording career. Theopening scenes from around New York during "Tin Man" arepretty corny, as are the shots from Hollywood during thesong of the same name and Dewey and Gerry lip-synching inthe studio for "Here," but it`s all entertaining nonetheless.Check out the "music video" for "Horse," which includes theguys roaming around a hot desert, wild horses gallopingabout, and Dewey and Gerry racing their respective cars.

Will the concert in New York ever come out on DVD (Live In Central Park) If it is on DVD, where can I order a copy from?

To whom it may concern. Please put out Live in Central Park on DVD as soon as possible. America fans need to see more of the bands live concerts to satisfy our hunger for this band which I love so much. Regards Richard K.

I love this DVD and play it regularly! Now I know why the 70's were so great. Pure, raw talent without all that lip-syncing, auto-tuning and 'voice over' garbage that is so prevalent in the music scene today. It's hard to corner America into any one music genre. They are that versatile. From the song, "Foolin", one of my favourites done live, to "All Night" to the incredible jam on "Sandman", once you watch and listen to this band, you're hooked! The band's energy is so forthcoming and the guys are so likeable and Michael Woods...well, could he be any cooler? A guitarist ahead of his time, down to his short tee and leather pants. I recommend this DVD for anybody not afraid to listen to real talent without all the additives!
