Comments for Fogerty, John, The Blue Ridge Rangers

E-MAIL: jdiaz@usa.net
If John Fogerty had kept the rythm section of just-disbanded Creedence Clearwater Revival, this might have been CCR''s 8th album and one of the best. The songs selection in itself is a tribute to American best bluegrass/folk music, but Fogerty''s vain attempts at one-band-musicianship (he plays everything here) brings down what could have been a major opus. Nevertheless, it''s a very interesting record.

I grew up on CCR and The Blue Ridge Rangers. The only problem with The Blue Ridge Rangers is he only made the one full album! John is one of the most amazingly talented individuals in the world. I was floored when I found out that this spectacular piece of art was the product of one man. I bet the heavens stop the angelic choir to listen to The Blue Ridge Rangers!
JF`s first post Creedence effort. Pays tribute to the bluegrass and gospel music that inspired him.
