The four other songs are orignally by very male bands, ie Rolling Stones, Nirvana, Led Zep, etc. Tori has given them all a very gentle feel whilst still retaining the original essence of the songs. If you do not own a copy of these songs, go out immediatley and buy them... sound.

Oh, and one other thing. The style is *not* rock. basically piano and vocals and nowt else.

I count myself very lucky that I was able to see Nirvana in concert. It was summer 1992 in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and Nirvana were at the peak of the early hype that surrounded them. The morning after the concert, Kurt Cobain was hospitalised with what was officially described as stomach cramps. It wasn't clear on the night how sick the man was. However, the three members of the band came on stage, mock-ballet dancing to Tori's version of their most infamous song. They seemed in good spirits, and as Kurt said as he moved towards the mic for the first time: "We love Tori Amos".

Does anyone know the words to "Thank You"? It is the coolest, but we can't figure out what she's saying in part of it. Tori Rocks!

The singing of Teen Spirit seems to have a profound effect on Tori. She combines it with Don McClean's American Pie in concert to produce a beautiful medley for today's angst-ridden youth.

Dear rkarbergsmith.smith.edu, If you want Tori lyrics, I know a Web page that might have a few helpful links, though they themselves don't have them for that song: visit the First International Church of Tori at http://cctr.umkc.edu/user/cgladish/tori.html

This album doesn't deserve a 10. Though each song is great, they're all the same is style. The singles "Winter" and "China" are both much better, as the B-Sides are so much more diverse. However, "Thank You" and "Smells Like Teen Spirit" are AMAZING. I'd just rather hear them amid some more full, more rhythmic songs.
