Comments for Foxx, John, The Garden

Released some 18 months after 'Metamatic', this marked a change in style towards a richer, more romantic sound. There is also a disco influence, coupled with half-surreal picture-like lyrics, making this an appealing and unusual record. Some of the tracks are still favourites after all these years.

This is much more like it, surely Foxx''s richest and fullest achievement??? ''Europe After The Rain'' is purely beautiful, ''Dancing Like A Gun'' brilliant, ''You Were There'' a distant and cold eastern European stomper and ''''Walk Away'' well it''s just fantastic.Thankyou John.
