Comments for FUGAZI, Red Medicine

After In on the Kill Taker, Fugazi distance themselves even more from their original sound. Not all tracks are up to standard of the previous album. Namely Birthday Pony and Bed for the Scraping. Also, they nicked the melody of Forensic Scene from some other song, can't recall the name or artist, though. Anyway, I won't bore you with a lengthy review. It's not a pioneering record but Fugazi still know how to make a good album. Fave tracks:Long Distance Runner, Fell Destroyed, By You.

Red Medicine is the best Fugazi has had to offer since Repeater. It's songs like Forensic Scene, Bed For the Scraping, and Target that show that these trailblazers are still blazing trails that no one else has been able to travel yet. This record took the best of Kill Taker and bumped it all a step up. Good stuff.

This is the only Fugazi record that I've listened... it sure is not that lousy (rating before me: 6,7.). One word: different.

Fugazi has has taken their creativity to a new level. Kind of tripy. Their straight edge.

After "in on the kill taker" i was expecting something a little more mmm better.? Its great that the band continues to try new things but this is simply not a well written album. Their are moments(Fell destroyed, Forensic scene) but a few bright spots do not make for a great album. "Do you like me?" not really.
Different.... but good.
