Comments for Genesis, Wind & Wuthering

Includes one of the most beautiful Genesis tracks: One For The Vine with excellent Banksī lyrics. The best work of post-Gabriel period...

Initially, only parts of this album appealed to me. Over time (I'm talking months & years here), I came to realize it really doesn't get any better than this. The *entire* album is phenomenal. Stunning, stellar craftsmanship, hypnotic pseudo-medieval lyrics and acoustic guitar on "Earl" and "Vine" define the term "art rock". Personal faves: "Earl", "Vine", "Mouse's Night", "Afterglow". If you're a role-player or love fiction you must have this.

High water mark of their best three lps: Trick Of The Tail, Wind And Wuthering, And Then There Were Three. Great music, a loose concept lp filled with poetry and perspective. Unfortunately, the Collinization occurs shortly thereafter with Duke, and the end is realized everything that follows. A must for art rock fans.
