Comments for Genesis, I Can't Dance

Oh wonderful. Once again, the British music-buying public are subjected to Phil "Potato-Head" Collins screaming his toupe off with what would appear to be a backing band of his yes men, namely those other two. I used to like Genesis a great deal - "DUKE" is still one of the best albums I own - but to produce sanctimonious rubbish like this and call it by the same name smacks of money printing by Collins and co. Sorry if it seems a bit negative, but it seems to be the only way to get the music-deprived public of Engalnd off their bums and buying GENUINELY GOOD new music - rather than recycled old tripe by a bunch of has-beens.

Simply I hate this music. I miss the timeof Genesis with Peter. The last Phill's Genesis album acceptable to me is 'Duke'.

I HATE THIS ALBUM!!!! Phil killed Genesis when he watered them down to the point that they are nothing more than slightly harder Michael Bolton. Genesis last acceptable album is Abacab, although their last great album is The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway. I think I would enjoy the album more if in the video to I Can''t Dance, the guy who''s pool game he screws up commits an ala Deliverence style act upon him, rather than just taking his jeans. The syth parts almost get to the momentum of most John Tesh albums. Phil is nothing more than a stage ham and should not be associated with a group that produced such fine music in the early seventies. Oh, I saw on Conan O''Brien during a Phil interview that if you send Phil a pity letter asking for money he is gullible enough to send it to you. Get the pens writing.
