This is one of the best albums in the history of modern music

One of their best works, containing "Supper's Ready" - the best piece of music ever made

"Supper's Ready" is so great, sometimes I wonder if it beats the entire LAMB. Who knows? Other points of interest include WATCHER OF THE SKIES and, well, the whole album. Every song on this is great. A must buy for anyone with an interest in music ...period. Willow Farm rules. If you're a Genesis fan and don't own this one, question whether or not you're really a fan.

A classic album! Definatly the best work from Genesis. Suppers ready is perhaps the best piece of music I`ve ever heard.

Back when Genesis was good... Okay, I won't get into that rap. But this is quintessential Genesis. Every song tells a story, and Supper's Ready is a long, long, long story. I agree that "Supper" is a tremendous piece of music. But it could have easily been 3 or 4 separate songs. Don't mistake its 24+ minute running length for anything but another piece of early Genesis oddity.

Way back in the late 70''s, a friend of mine told me that he''d heard this most amazing piece of music by Genesis. He took me to his brothers flat and told me to sit down and listen. He said if I didn''t like what I was about to hear, then I didn''t like music! I listened in awe to Suppers Ready and it blew me away.

I can remember my brother bringing home foxtrot when I was 14.I would listen to suppers ready, my head jammed between the speakers. Now at the ripe old age of 42 its still evokes the same excitment. With a cd collection second to none there is not one piece of music that even comes close.

with the risk of sounding like an old fart, i agree with most of the comments below/above. foxtrot is unique. there is nothing like it anywhere, and i treasure it. my one regret was that i was too young at the time and only managed knebworth 78. oh, another: the musical box is probably the one thing that i wish i'd seen live properly. that truly is the best song they ever did (and the first of theirs i ever heard, oddly enough).
