Comments for Gin Blossoms, New Miserable Experience

This is an excellent album, without a weak track on it.

I think niceswangern@bvc.edu overlooked the fact that Allsion Road is the 4th big hit on this album. If you like this genre of music, check out Toad the Wet Sprocket.

The Gin Blossoms toured together but have nothing in common. I saw that tour back in '92 and met the band. Nice bunch of guys but no substance to their heads. I hope the new album goes well for them though. They deserve it been broke for too long! Trading tapes and photos! Write me!

I got "New Miserable Experience" a few months ago. I never new the Gin Blossoms were so awesome. My friend let me listen to it, and I was hooked. They're new album comes out on February 13, 1996. I think it will be better than "New". I also like "Until I Hear It From You", off the Empire Records Soundtrack. I give "New" a 9.9.

Every track on this album could be a single--not too many albums can say that. I have a lot of cds & albums and there are very few that have not even one dead spot. New Miserable Experience falls into that rarefied category. Can't wait to hear more.

This is by far the Gin Blossoms' best work! The songwriting of the late Doug Hopkins has a LOT to do with how good this album is! My favorite album :) -Brad Charbonneau, charbonnb@woods.uml.edu

My favorite song by them is "29" and I think it should''ve been a single cause I like it better than the actual singles from this album. Still, the album as a whole is very strong except for the last song which is pretty lame. I would''ve cut it from the record and replaced it with one of their B-sides, like "Idiot Summer," which is a much better song.

The three big hits are all right (Hey Jealousy, Found OutAbout You, and Until I Fall Away). Other than that, there`snot a lot of substance to this album.
