I want to know where you can get the dusted tape by the Gin Blossoms

all of the songs are performed faster than the way they play now. it seems the band fell into the Replacements category when they were signed. no more drunken shows at the sun club for these guys. of particular note are the songs idiot summer and fireworks, which jesse sings. i always liked his voice better than robins. doug hopkins plays guitar on the album. btw - this was available on vinyl, because i have a copy in arizona.

Where can you find this album? It is VERY hard to come by. First of all, check out Goldmine, which is a weekly magazine for record/cd collectors which features hundreds of ads each week for rarities. If you are persistant, you may find a copy of Dusted, most likely on Vinyl. It was released on vinyl and cassette. Another thing to do is just have someone dub a copy of it for you from their own personal copy. It was actually rereleased in AZ only, this year, on cassette. But those got "eaten up" really fast. You might be able to find it on vinyl at a place in Phoenix called Tracks in Wax. Their phone number is (602)274-2660. They had one a few months ago, but they wanted about $80.00 for it. I was fortunate enough to buy a cassette of it at Zia in December 1993 when it was re-released. They went really fast, as someone else here has already commented. Good luck! It is an excellent album, especially "Fireworks" and "Slave Dealer''s Daughter". Robin Wilson, in an interview that I was lucky enough to tape from 98 KUPD, a station in Phoenix, said that they were a young band on cocaine when they recorded "Dusted"; that''s why the songs are so fast!
this is their release previous to being signed by A&M. Sorry I`ve checked a million times and there is no catalog number. To my knowledge it is available on cassette only
