I am obsessed with this song!! I need to find this on CD! If anyone has any info please let me know. I've seen the video (the uncensored version)....pretty steamy! but I still need it on CD.

As of this writing, Polydor/PolyGram has no plans to re-release any of Godwin's titles on CD. Best bet for now is to search used records stores. I found the Images of Heaven album in near-mint condition for .99. It took me a year, but I finally got it. Also, there is the 45rpm version floating around, but it's shorter and not as rich as the LP version.

I wish this was on CD too! Also would like to have LP, do have the 45 though.

Peter Godwin...he was great. His METRO stuff was not bad either. I have just finished transferring an old metal tape of correspondence, as well as the IMAGES of HEaven EP onto compact disc. I have done this for my own use and without Poltgram's authorization. I also stuck on the 12" remix of Baby's in the mountains. If you want a copy...why not email me and we'll figure something out. The quality is better than an LP but not a s clean as a factory-new CD. I took great pains in remastering the digital data before burning a CD.

Perhaps the best "lost" artist of the early `80s New Wave,Peter Godwin suffered from poor marketing and support fromhis label. His best song, "Images of Heaven," ranks as oneof the classics of synthpop. Godwin`s second (and last) LP,Correspondence, performed poorly in 1983.

Is Baby's in the Mountain the song that sounds like Depeche Mode's Everything Counts? If so, I used to love that song, and haven't heard it for 20 years. If someone has a download (mp3) version of it, please let me me know.
