Comments for Golden Earring, Cut

Golden Earring made a US number 13 hit in "Radar Love," back in 1974. The next one was "Twilight Zone," which peaked at number 10 in 1983. "Twilight Zone" is an excellent, first rate piece. However, the whole album suffers from moot lyrics. For years, it has seemed that Earring has never quite understood the context of deeper meanings in the English language, and as a result, the lyrics are usually trite and sometimes meaningless. That probably explains why the group went nine years before getting another hit, which would be their last.
