I was blown away when I first heard this CD. I thought they were just a slow song band. But after I heard the first three rocking songs, Long Way Down, Burnin' up, and Naked, I to hear more. I went out and bought their other two most recent albums.

This is a pretty good Goo cd. Although I tend to reach for it a lot less than "Superstar Carwash" and "Hold Me Up" I still have to give it a 9. The songs are kind of thrown on the album so it doesn''t flow really well.......but I usually program it in the way I think the songs should be arranged and it makes it better. There are only 2 major weak spots as far as I''m concerned........and they would be "So Long" and "Disconnected." Other than that this album is just plain cool. I can''t wait to see what kind of stuff they are going to come out with next. Lazy Eye seems a little bit heavier than I expected them to do now since they have been slowing down a bit since "Jed".........even though some of their songs now still push their way into the hard rock/heavy metal category. I, personally, would like to hear the goo get a little heavier once again........but I don''t want them to lose their meaningful lyrics in the process, and face it........a lot of heavy music is garbage. If they did do a heavier album I would like to see some slower songs randomly put into it.
The Goos second major release for Warner. This album grows on you soon after its initial hearing. Great follow up to Superstar Car Wash.
