Comments for Goo Goo Dolls, Jed

an incredible step for the goo's. they have paved the way for many aspiring local acts here in buffalo and it was this very album which opened the door. JED is my personal favorite, and definitely an adrenaline rush!

This album has about 4 good tracks on it and thats all. The first is the punk-ish Up Yours (the only one of 2 that you can understand the lyrics on). The second being the instrumental Iggy The Cat Gets A Bath. The third being Down On The Corner, a bluesy type song with Lance Diamond on the vocals and the last being James Dean, a cool acoustic song.

It's great. Not as good as A Boy Named Goo but surely a good effort with cool tracks like Out of Sight,7th of Last Month(or Iggy...),Love Dolls,Had Enough,Artie, and James Dean. All together I think it rocks.DREW

Definitely better than the first album.......and is actually punkish........which would surprise a lot of the kids who have only heard the "A Boy Named Goo" stuff. Johnny starts to get more involved in the vocals here.....whereas in the previous album he hardly said a word. "James Dean" is a nice simple acoustic song ending the album off really well just like "Two Days In February" closes "Hold Me Up." The three following albums are definite "must owns" Jed is a "torture without it"
Nowhere near as polished as later efforts, but a huge stepover their debut, the 2nd Goos LP is their darkest, punkiestalbum. It`s not for their pop fans, but it`s an all-time"bad mood" album. Both covers (CCR/Stones!) are incredible.Other highlights: "Road to Salinas", "James Dean", "Artie"
