Well, this album is great! The song Pigeons is really good and all of the others are better than what he did before. In concert, Gowan gives all that he have. A pure entertainer!!!

Definitely one of the better efforts by Gowan. A good mix of music to be enjoyed by all.

An incredible performer, wonderful musician, and all-around nice guy! He just gets better and better with each album and concert! Keep up the good work, Larry. The only performer I know who can take a song titled Cyberbabes and make it a ballad! :)

Diana says it's nice to see him wearing tighter jeans! Also, adds DD, "Thanks for the Chicken Pox!"

Probably the best thing he's ever done--more stylistic versatility than his other albums, and even better piano work. Standouts include "Guns and God", "Put It Where the Love Don't Shine", and "You'll Be With Me". I saw him play this tour and he's the best live performer I've ever seen.

Love the album. One of the best performers out there. Can't wait for Larry to come to St. John's again. Does anyone know when that will be?

Larry's talent as an accomplished musician comes shining through on this album. Particularly, in I'll be There in a Minute, Put it Where the Sun Don't Shine, Cyberbabes,as well as the title track. I've seen Larry perform live a few times now and he is definitely unparalleled as a performer, songwriter and musician. With this album, I think he has found the bridge to the new style he was looking for. Great job, but we've come to expect that !!

I have followed Lawrence Gowans career since his solo release in 85 of Strange Animal. Since that time I have seen him perform on a couple of occasions and each outing was a pure treat to say the very least! His high levels of energy and personnal showmanship make his live performances an awesome spectacle! He has taken his time to sign several autographs and shoot the breaze each time I have met him! Thanks Larry! I am looking forward to the live cd's due out next year, as a matter of fact I can't wait! "Train Hard Gowan" "Live well-Blair"

THE GOOD CATCHES UP is , IMHO, Gowan's best album next to STRANGE ANIMAL. It wields an honest quality, stripping the songs down to the bare bones and giving it that rocking feel which really warms your blood in a spine-tingling way. Every song is a gem in itself, even "Cyberbabes", which in its passive dreariness evokes the feelings of late-night Internet surfing better than any song about cyberspace. Too bad I caught Larry too late to see him on tour (he'd already started up with Styx by the time I got into his music!) :(
