Excellent album with instrumental styles ranging from stark to symphonic. Best songs are "Dedication", "Awake the Giant" and "Moonlight Desires"--the latter is notable for a backing vocal by Yes singer Jon Anderson.

Excellent album! Dedication is a wonderfully powerful song. If you've never seen Larry live, you should. He gives new meaning to emotion.

Excellent mix of vocals and keyboards. Would have like to have heard more air play given to Living in the Golden Age Human Drama, Forever One and 60 Second Nightmare. These pieces capture human emotion and character.

A pop album for the ages. I could listen to the two-song tandem of "Living In The Golden Age" and "Dedication" all night.
Good follow-up to Strange Animal. Most notable song is Dedication.

GREAT DIRTY WORLD is the slightly weaker, yet still substantial, follow-up to 1985's STRANGE ANIMAL album. The first four tracks, plus the title track, provide the album's strength. On a musical note (pardon the pun), "Forever One" is notable for its first verse, which is in 5/4 time. That is a rare occurrance for a rock/pop number. Bravo Larry! :D
