Comments for Grateful Dead, Skeletons From The Closet : The Best Of Grateful Dead

Collection of shortened, studio greatest hits. One of my least favorites. Good tunes, but better live versions are available

This band actually warranted a "greatest", let alone a "hits" compilation?

Skeletons is a great disservice to one of the best bands of all time. Don't waste your time with this. Try Workingman's Dead, American Beauty, or better yet Europe '72 to fully experience the dead.(Even better, find a head with a few good bootlegs)

I feel really bad for the poor suckers who don't buy CDs and who only listen to so-called 'classic rock' stations. Their experience of Dead music can be summed up to appx. 1/2 of what's on this album, the tune US Blues from 'Mars,' and 'Touch' and 'Bucket' from 'In the Dark.' A hatchet job and totally unnecessary... plus a huge disservice to Pigpen.
