The Wake of the Flood version of Weather Report Suite is wonderful, as is the short, but Phil-charged Eyes of the World. Really, the only weak link in the chain is the dreadful Keith number, Let Me Sing Your Blues Away... and even that''s kinda funky, in a strange way. All in all, probably a better studio effort than the next release, Mars Hotel. At least when forced to choose between the two, I usually choose Wake. I rate it a ''9.''
