if you are dissatisfied with Boys for Pele, then i think you should listen again and pay attention to her lyrics because it would be like opening her soul and hearing her deepest secrets.

um, tori has pretty hair. why should she shave it off? UtP and BfP are wonderful albums. as good as LE.

This album is faultless. Full stop. There's so much more on the line here than "Little Earthquakes" that the predecessors almost sound infantile in comparison. If you think I talking complete crap then fair enough, I guess it's just one of those things, but this album has, for me, been one of the most satisfying of the decade. As for Tori shaving her head? Sorry, but I'm listening to the voice, heart and soul of the performer, not the babe at the Bossendorfer.

there's not much that can be said about someone who understands music so much better than anyone has since great piano composers like Mozart and the like. i love the gal - the music will walk with me throughout my life.

Obviously some of you people that Profess to be Tori Amos fans truly aren't. I know who you are. There are people like you that go to my school. They like the Little Earthquakes album, and possibly Under the Pink, but they don't like Boys for Pele. Obviously, you don't understand the message of Boys for Pele. Maybe you like being stuckin the rut of Little Earthquakes, but with the new album, Tori decides to go full steam out of that rut, and she pulls it off quite nicely. A normal or even obsessed Tori fan won't understand this album the first time they listen to it. It may take them five times or more to finally understand what is trying to be said in this album. Give it time, it will come to you if you continue to listen and work with it. Tori's music was never meant to include Passive listening. The listener has to be an active part of the song in order for it to come off in it's full effect. I hope you can understand this.

This album is beautiful, though it was not quite as good as her other albums. I think it's a little more unfocused and scattered with imagery, but that doesn't make it bad. Tori is magical person and artist, and her songs speak to something in all of us.

Tori should not shave her head,moron.Her BOYS FOR PELE album is briliant.It shows her different styles of playing and singing.I have her other albums but I only bought them because I liked pele so much.Tori fans should read Anne Sexton.Iencorage people to listen to pele and its firey song give the lyrics your own interpretation and you will LOVE Tori. I sort of got introduced to Tori in a strange way - a female friend of mine (I'm a male, BTW), gave me UtP as a b'day present one year, and I took a listen, and sort of liked it - it helped somewhat that Trent Reznor made a guest appearance; I've been a NIN fan for years. Even so, I wasn't too big on the album, mainly because I didn't pay attention to the lyrics. Big mistake. I learned later that my fried was actually pleading for help by giving me this album; she had recently been raped and was looking for support. I did everything I could to help her, and I think she has almost come to accept what happened to her. Anyway, as that process went on, I listened more and more to Tori's messages, and also picked up a copy of LE. I liked the album a lot, but I found some of the songs to be a bit blunt (as a male!). I picked up BfP as soon as it came out, and I think that it's the best of her albums. I'm just upset that I still haven't seen her in concert. Tori is a great artist in her own right, and if you have somr sort of connection - no matter how indirect - with her music, you'll love her. Peace, Geoff

i love tori she is the best thing that has ever been.....i have been to 2 shows and have been mistafied at her....this album is the best as all of hers are... at first i was not toosure of it but now it is by far my fav....i finally got to meet well kinda meet her anyway she seems so sweet ....she was by no means a snob but a very sweet person ....and i dont think any one has any right to critasize her ...

Tori has made my life have more meaning... and help me realize that there is art in everything.... unless moronic people are just trying to make a joke of all that......

I think BfP is an aquired taste, kinda like coffee. The first time I heard it, I was mostly dissappointed. But the more I listen to it, the more it speaks to me, and there''s so much depth to it. LE is certainly more listener-friendly. You gotta work to get at BfP, but it''s worth it.

Boys for pele made you think about things in life and told you alot about the ways that she see god she speek with out fear of hurt in ones she loves. b/c those who really love her and appresate her know that is what is doing.
