This album was a disappointment to us who know and love Nanci from the early yeras.

This album, far from being the disappointment labeled by another comment, is one of Nanci Griffith''s best and most versatile productions. It contains some of her very best material: "Goodnight to a Mother''s Dream," "This Heart," "Goin'' Back to Georgia," and "These Days In an Open Book." Nanci''s music keeps growing and expanding; the songs on this album are astonishingly uniform in their quality, while being astonishingly varying in the style and tone. There''s something here for everyone.
