Comments for Grusin, Dave, The Firm - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

Let me begin by announcing that this soundtrack was SCREWED OUT OF AN OSCAR -and- A GRAMMY IN 1993!Okay, now to the review. Dave Grusin, known of course for his great jazz and work on a variety of other soundtracks, has really, REALLY accomplished something with his work on "The Firm." It was part of what made the movie as good as it was. His songs are all acoustic piano, a mixture of blues and modern jazz written and performed by Mr. Grusin.Highlights include the Main Title theme, Ray`s Blues, and How Could You Lose Me? Although all of the songs on the album are excellent and worth listening to. If you are a fan of piano, jazz, or blues, BUY this outstanding album. Performances by Jimmy Buffett, Robben Ford, Nanci Griffith, Lyle Lovett, and Dave Samuels that were featured in the film can also be found on the album.A fantastic work by a great musician.
