Comments for Hawkwind, 25 Years On

I was not overly impressed with this when it came out in 78. However, it has improved over the years,and there are some cracking tracks on this. Only the Dead Dreams, is a little gem of a song. Some early copies came with a booklet. This booklet expanded on the industrial theme presented in some of the albums tracks, notably 25 Years,and The Age of the Micro Man but frankly still leaves me a little uncertain of what is all meant to be about.

Released under the name "Hawklords" for contractual reasons.With: Dave Brock, Bob Calvert, Harvey Bainbridge, MartinGriffin, Steve Swindells + Simon House, Simon King on sometracks. There were two singles: an edit of "Psi power" (CB 323,b/w "Death trap" and a different version of "25 years" on12" grey vinyl (CB 332 12, b/w "(Only) the dead dreams of thecold war kid" and "PXR5"). [Both "Death trap" and "PXR5" areHawkwind not Hawklords tracks. The PXR5 album finallyappeared the following year].
