Sorry, a mistake in the above. The b-side of the "Motorway City" single was "Master of the Universe" (Flicknife FLS 205)

Yes this is a little bit of a mess. To paraphrase a football commentator this might well be best described as an album of 2 halves.Side 1 is excellent, recorded during Ginger Bakers time in the band.Dangerous Visions is outstanding. The Island whilst it does borrow from the Fifth Second.. is really just the guitar solo section from Dust of Time. It''s actually rather good. Side 2 is bootleg quality. The title of Utopia 89 is wrong. It is actually Utopia 84.
This album was put together from live performances fromtwo tours, with different line-ups. Some of it is "new" material, notably the first three tracks and "Socialalliance". Michael Moorcock guests on "Running through...". "The island" borrows theintro and outro from "The fifth second of forever". Much ofit is however inferior live versions of over-familiar stuff. "Motorway city" was released as a single (with a live versionof "Urban guerrila"). There was also a solo single of"Social alliance" by Dave Brock. Overall, this album is a mess. When I saw them in concert at this time, the songs had analarming tendency to grind to a halt in the middle, for NikTurner to play a sax solo or (worse) Dead Fred to play a jigon the violin.
