Comments for Hawkwind, Live Seventy Nine

The difinitive versions of 'Motorway City' and 'Spirit of the Age' Shame about 'Silver Machine'. Do any real Hawkwind fans really like that track?

Although this album helped re-launch Hawkwind, I don''t feel it has stood the test of time as well as other live recordings. Worth it though for Lighthouse, a Tim Blake track from his solo LP New Jerusalem(I think).
A wonderful live register, showing all the punch of Dave Brock and Hawkwind, because during this tour the band had no recording contract and there was no new album to promote. All their courage is transmitted by these energetic seven songs, on which they play magistrally and fascinate their audience.
