Comments for Helmet, Meantime

With their mixture between hardcore and metal, these guys rule! In the meantime is an album which shows great riffs supported by amazing rhythms, supplied by one of the best drummers at this moment.

Yeah,it`s a total stormer of an album. My only complaint is that the songs seem to blend into each other, especially on Side 2. And, from one drummer reviewing another, this is indeed a talented and solid drummer. Say no more!!! A classic of its genre.

This album kicks butt! As far as aggression-releasing albums go, this one is definitely near the top. So much NOISE funneled onto one CD - it is really amazing how it can be so fast and so heavy at the same time. HELMET RULES!!

I don't know how people can talk about a record when they can't even spell its name right. Anyway, this is a great cd and the drummer is good, but so is everyone else in the band. The follow up, Betty, may not be as good as Meantime but its a good cd in its own right.

This albums got some really good helmet material on it, but it kind of all sounds the same. The chorus to Turned Out is my favorite moment of helmet intense groove. If Metallica, Megadeth and Pantera are metal, then this is NOT METAL.

Hi, I just wanted to tell you how I got turned on to helmet. I live in Sioux City, Ia and I rented a house off Court St. this was just down the street froma abar named Kings Court. This bar was a City elementary school that had closed and was then instant bar. Well thay used to have band in the basement and normally i would drive by and not pay much attention untill I heard these riff blaring of the PA. I had to check it out. I payed my 5.00 and went inside. This place was just going crazy and a person could just feel the tingle in your body listening to this Helmet band. The only other time I was there was to meeta friend and I believe the band that night was a spunky little group called L7. I wish I would have spent more time in that bar because as you know today both band s did quite well and I was very proud to have seen them first starting out back in the late 80''s. Oh ya the Meantime album is total metal and is one of the greatiest power groove metal releases of all time. Enough said!! Tommy Frisbie Sioux City, Iowa
