I played this LP till it turned grey man. Till it was as thin as a .009 stupor slinky after a marathon jam-session. Watch out for side two, daddios and mamas and babies because after and during Machine Gun your regular, everyday, standard D# Jimi tuning slips even further into the bush and lower than a kong sniper on a night patrol looking for his guitar pick. Hint: defasten your whang bar and after a few laps on side one you will notice a tremelo-mendous string-shaking neck-strangling in your hands' attitude. Yeah and uh, But uh...yeah,,,,The practicing along with this album that you can do will

Foxy Lady, Stop and Hear My Train are NOT on the Band of Gypsys Album. I have the original release. I mean no offense, but maybe you have a re-release or a CD that put some "bonus tracks" on the disk.

A real burner of an album, with Hendrix taking on funk music full force. Unfortunately, this release includes Buddy Miles on drums. He can keep the beat and make it funky, but that''s aobut it. He doesn''t have the technique that these songs demand, but has all the moves of a second rate R&B star (watch out for those vocals!). Aside from that, this is an excellent album. Oh yeah, and if you get the import w/ the extra tracks, only "Hear My Train A'' Comin''" is up to snuff on sound quality; the others were taken from the sound track of someone''s 8mm camera.
This is a rerelease of the 1970 original, including three previously unreleased tracks.
