Comments for Hendrix, Jimi, LIVE Isle Of Wight '70

Recorded live at the Isle of Wight Festival in 1970, with Billy Cox and Mitch Mitchell. The only reason that this is out on disc is that it was rumored to be Jimi's last performance. It's not. So what we have here is a live disc of Jimi on a bad night. The band really isn't together, and Jimi's playing is really sloppy. Get Live At Winterland, Stages, or Jimi Plays Monterey if you want a good live album.

Heavily edited, particularly "Machine Gun" and is actually less than half of the concert. Hendrix is exhausted and the band can''t follow what he is playing half the time.
