Comments for Hendrix, Jimi, Voodoo SoupE-MAIL: sr@Euclid.DnE.wvnet.edu When Jimi Died, he left behind two years of recordings that were to comprise his fourth studio album, then tentatively titled FIRST RAY OF THE NEW RISING SUN. That material has dribbled out on various posthumous releases of varying quality, but after this release on April 11, all of his many forgotten works and great works are on this album. Include: New Rising Sun Overture, Belly Button Window, Stepping Stone, Freedom, Angel, Room Full of Mirrors, Midnight, Night Bird Flying, Ezy Ryder, Pali Gap, Message to Love, Peace In Mississippi, and In From The Storm.E-MAIL: portoles@fox.nstn.ca It's rad! It's well worth your money! Go out and get it!E-MAIL: terdoest@cs.utwente.nl Howdy, the liner notes to this album have been made electronically available by me at: http://wwwseti.cs.utwente.nl/~terdoest/hendrix.html Regards, Hugo ter DoestE-MAIL: msimpson@is.dal.ca Worth it to get some of the remastered gems! Midnight Lightning is a killer!E-MAIL: thomptl0@seraph1.sewanee.edu This is what Alan Douglas should have put out 20 years ago.E-MAIL: rdempster@rr.com E-MAIL: rdempster@rr.com HELP!!!!!!!!!!!! DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN FIND JIMI'S VERSION OF BOB DYLAN'S "LIKE A ROLLING STONE" I THOUGHT THAT I HEARD IT BEFORE AND LOVED IT. PLEASE TELL ME I WASN'T TRIPPING OUTE-MAIL: joe@aol.com This is crap. Get "First Rays Of The New Rising Sun" and "South Saturn Delta", instead. You''ll get all the songs on this album plus much more. The sound on those albums are also better, having been restored and remastered from the original 1st generation masters by Hendrix''s family.... unlike Voodoo Soup, which was copied from 2nd-generation tapes. Alan Douglas should be taken out and shot.Comments supplied by users do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Roadkill Consulting, Inc. |
