Not really for the mainstream-music lover. This album is, in the odd praise of a friend of mine, "so eclectic it''s disgusting." What he really means is that His Name Is Alive foregoes many traditional songwriting strategies and concentrates on creating a specific sound. The lyrics are obtuse, yet at the same time it''s interesting to attempt to read meaning into them. All of these tracks can in some way be called "songs," whereas on previous albums, tracks may or may not have really been songs but instead musical interludes. For anyone who is sick of mainstream music and wants to expand their ideas about how music should affect the listener and expand their general definition of music, this is an album to have.
A very different album from one of the most diverse and new groups to favor the planet in a long tim. HNA has made and cut the very same ground they created with Livonia. A real must have for music lovers.
That album is increadable, anyone who says it sucks is wrong.
