A great album, Courtney & friends have done it again. the last track "Rock Star" is really incredible, is deals with the youth of Kurt Cobain.

This album is a must-buy!! Courtney Love comes thru it all and shows she really does have the talent. Hole is a band that will reach the top and still keep going. It's a wonderful album.

Courtney and the band really show their talent and ability to ROCK on this one. Lots of intense energy from start to finish! I rate it 5 stars!

O.K. first of all this album is alright---but not worth paying full price for. Second of all the guy who says that he gives it five stars is a moron and obviously doesn't know good music when he hears it. Hole is popular now because of Kurt Cobain and MTV and that is all there is to say about Hole.

hole is one of the best rock bands at this time right now--and "live through this" is the best disc that has proved all the courtney bashers dead wrong...valerie

I didn't buy this album when it first came out because I thought to myself "Oh gees.. Anyone can get into the music business when you're married to a huge rock star like Kurt Cobain." I waited a while and people were raving about it so I check it out and I was TOTALLY BLOW AWAY! THIS ALBUM ROCK! Yummy, easy to listen to riffs and NO "FILLERS" on this CD! Get this now!

Wow. I was blown away by how good this CD was. I was expecting to dislike it and end up selling it to some used CD store. Courtney Love's songwriting ability nearly rival that of her late husband's, and that's as good a compliment as I could give anyone.

The first time i saw hole.. October 11th, 1994 in the squires ballroom at VTU. I immediately fell in love with the band.. their music is so deep and moving.. a lot of feeling was put into it.. They are by far my favorite band.. (and yes, they were my favorite band before they had any videos on mtv and before Live through this was really out.. Courtney... I love you.. you give us all such inspiration... keep on rockin girl!

Let the proof be the album that Courtney is no Yoko. Anybody who is unmoved by this album must be dead already. Give Hole the credit they deserve.

Courtney Love is a no-talent slut who married into fame. I wish Curt Kobain would have decided to remain single because we wouldn't have to listen to this crap 15 times a day on MTV. Kurt would probably be alive, too.

The saddest thing about Kurt Cobain's death is not that the world lost a great musician (it did), but that it foisted his talentless widow into fame and stardom. Love's success is not due to her musical abilities, but due to her boorish behaviour; apparently puking all over herself, assaulting other women and neglecting her young daughter makes her a role model for the young women of today. Sigh. As for the album, its not bad, considering the artist and has its moments but, predictably, its rather limited and too often degenirates into Love shrieking various verses over, and over, and over again. With luck, Love won't die of an overdose, but instead fade into oblivion and go back to being an overwieght dancer in sleezy strip bars.

IT'S GREAT!!!! What more can I say? Heck, I even made my screen name after one of their songs! The real good song on this disk is Plump. All of them are good, but this has to be the one. And she's not famous for the death of the symbol of the grunge era, Kurt (and that IS how you spell it) but for her character and talent. Kurt did not kill homself because of her, in fact, she was one of the reasons he post-poned his suicide. You need to read the facts before you suddenly become an expert on a subject you know nothing about. E-mail me with your comments. PS- I don't mean to sound like a know-it-all, but I do know a lot on this subject, and I'm just telling you so you know.

I really can't imagine anyone who was into Hole when they first came out liking this over-produced, contrived and falsely eccentric album. Listen to the (sorta) real anger from their first lp and then listen to this. Listen to the bootleg single of "Gutless" and "Doll Parts" then hear the wimpy, over-produced versions here. Big difference. It has a lot to do with a desperate woman who wants nothing more than to be the next big thing regardless. Interesting that she only became popular after Kurt died, eh? I don't recall people singing her praise before that happened, do you?

Really people! If Hole's so great, they would never have needed love's antics to get them somewhere - In truth, musically Love does nothing for the band, Eric an co. are being held back by her, and really, why shoul we respect them, their motivations aen't exactly pure. if anyone can prove to me that Hole are about more than money, Ill give them a few recordings of some real bands - swirlies, Godstar, Dirt Merchants, Spdfgh
