Any body you doesn't like Big Science by laurie Anderson, or any other album by her, must have a very limited imagination. she is the premier music performance artist by which all others are measured. The depth of Anderson's creativity knows no bounds. Oh Superman is considered one of her best songs. Although her work is not measured by just one song, but by ablum.

Laurie Anderson is great! If anyone has any doubts they should see her in concert. Her music is intended as a part of a audio/visual performance. I had an English class @ New York Institute of Technology, and O-Superman was in our Poetry text book! The teacher analyzed the song with the class and gave me a few new insights into the song. I volunteered to bring in a tape of the song, which I did. The class though I was way weird to have it in the first place, but after hearing it they really looked at me weird! Home of the Brave is a movie of a live performance of hers which is really good. It is not the same as truly being in her concert but it gives an idea of a full performance art concert.

If someone told me that the purpose of humanity had been to produce Laurie Anderson...I don't think I'd be able to disagree.

If it wasn''t for "From the Air", I''d say Laurie Anderson has no sense of humor at all. I wouldn''t want to be stuck next to her in a hospital bed for a week.
